John Cena Return to Revolutionize WWE?

For a long while The Rock was the face of the WWE, and it took a long time until we had a star to reach those heights. John Cena, a man loved by children and adults around the world, seemingly took that role. However, a January shoulder injury sidelined the man who also raps and acts. He didn’t turn to those vices, and prepared for his WWE return. He turned up at WrestleMani with The Rock, and the moment was somewhat of a passing of the torch. Now he’s back and ready to rumble. With many events coming up the organization will be keen to thrust him back in to the title picture, and he’ll soon be headlining main events. Will his return revolutionize the ever-changing WWE?

From day one Cena always envisioned taking on a bigger role than the wrestling itself, and he did. He is a brand. Whether a hero or villain, he is a fans’ favourite, and he puts across the WWE’s message every time he steps in to the ring. Perhaps that’s why he earned a key role in ‘Trainwreck’, a popular movie released a year ago.

Cena is ready to cash in on unsettled times however. After a five-month recovery he wants to make up for lost time. He was tipped to miss just under a year, but as he usually does, he bounced back proving he’s stronger than most.

The former champion recently admitted it was an important moment to share the ring with the Rock. He explained “It was and it’s very rare that we can actually surprise people in our business and it took me watching WrestleMania in a broom closet to be the surprise that it was. It made for a very cool moment. I’m so glad I could be a part of that.”

However, will we see his muscle-popping finishers and submissions taking centre-stage all over again? We think so. The WWE certainly expect him to became the face of the franchise all over again.

He admitted “Like I said, I’m very happy to just be back.”

He wants newcomers, and old favorites. He continued “I’ve got my eye on Big Cass and Enzo Amore. I think they ooze everything that it takes to be a WWE superstar. They have so much energy. Those guys and the Vaudevillains are the guys I’ve been tipping my cap to on the viewership side.”

The Boston resident concluded “I can’t wait to get in the ring and we’ll see what happens.”

However, if the WWE has its way, he’ll soon be headlining SummerSlam, and next year’s WrestleMania, rather than spending his time locked away in a cupboard. The fans’ favorite will quickly become one that betway favors to return to the top of the WWE throne.

It’s clear this transitional phase is well and truly underway, and his return is more than welcome, but will he take his chance and cement his name like The Rock did?

If not, he can always turn to acting and rapid and other media work, right? We have no doubt he’ll continue on all of these endeavors, though.
