Mayhem Mania 2020: It Begins

Welcome back to year six of Mayhem Mania!

This is the ultimate fantasy booking game. The goal is to create the best WrestleMania card possible – not necessarily to predict what WWE will do. That means we must play by the rules of our current reality. Everyone comes in their current (physical, emotional, psychological, etc.) state. Bottom line, if Vince McMahon can do it, we can do it.

The WWE’s talent pool has never been deeper. Combine that with the other talents on the fringes that they theoretically may have access to and there’s no excuse for them not putting together the greatest WrestleMania card of all time. We’re going to show what’s possible.

Our game began during the Wrestling Mayhem Show on Tuesday, January 21. Eight players were invited to each create a single match. As an added layer to this year’s game, we’re asking more people to eliminate names from being eligible to use in Mayhem Mania – sending them through the Forbidden Portal into Space Jail. But there’s a catch, unlike in previous years, this may not be a permanent. Each week a random spin of our newly acquired prize wheel will determine if one of them can escape from Space Jail and re-enter the game. No “double jeopardy”. Once someone escapes from Space Jail, they can’t be sent back.

So, let’s check out the 8 matches our crew created.

Match #1
(Created by BobbyFJtown)
Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
week1-1

Match #2
(Created by Ronnie Starks)
#DIY vs. Time Splitters
week1-8
Match #3
(Created by Sorgatron)
Elias vs. Tony Nese
week1-2

Match #4
(Created by Honey Badger)
Rhea Ripley vs. Mercedes Martinez

week1-5

Match #5
(Created by Dave Podnar)
Velveteen Dream vs. R-Truth
week1-4

Match #6
(Created by Tina Keys)
Mia Yim & Kay Lee Ray & Tegan Nox vs. Asuka & Kairi Sane & Io Shirai
week1-7

Match #7
(Created by Mad Mike)
WALTER vs. Keith Lee
week1-3

Match #8
(Created by Mainstream Mat)
Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong vs. Shayna Baszler & Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir
week1-6

And here’s who got sent to Space Jail…

SPACE JAIL!
BobbyFJtown: Randy Orton
Ronnie Starks: Enzo
Sorgatron: Lacey Evans
Honey Badger: Bayley
Dave Podnar: Triple H
Tina Keys: Ronda Rousey
Mad Mike: WeeLC
Mainstream Mat: Bobby Fish

So, Mayhem Mania 2020 is underway. We have an eight-match card and we have eight people/things now serving time in Space Jail. Next Tuesday, we’ll invite five players to each make a single change to the existing card. Remember, any match that survives three consecutive rounds without being altered in any way will graduate to the Mayhem Mania SUPERCARD. The creator of that match will get some rewards and we’ll create a new match to take its place on our “undercard”.

By the time this whole thing is over, we’ll have eight graduated matches on our SUPERCARD. Trust me, it’ll work. We’ve already done this five time, and we haven’t failed yet.

Which of our eight matches do you like the best? Which ones do you think need some work? Which ones need to be dumped entirely. Post a comment or hit up the Wrestling Mayhem Show on social media to share your thoughts.

Before we go, we want to mention our Royal Rumble Challenge. Email your picks for the winners of both Rumble matches to [email protected]. Each correct pick will earn you a ticket to send someone through the Forbidden Portal to Space Jail. So, if you get both picks right, you’ll get to send two people to Space Jail! What a deal!

Enjoy Mayhem Mania and we’ll see you next week!

Hacks to Effortlessly Build Healthy Habits in 2022

Top view New Year Resolutions text list with marker and eyeglasses for business presentation mock up for adding your list

At some point in the past week (or five minutes ago after a Google search), you’ve made a resolution to change your life.

Maybe you decided to exercise every day. Perhaps it’s time to start eating better.

Or maybe you decided to stop wearing jorts.

Although I think this puppy is making the jorts work.

Well my friend, I’m excited for you, and I want you to know you’ve arrived at the right place!

We help folks build healthy habits as part of our 1-on-1 Online Coaching Program, so you’ve come to the right place to fulfill your resolution.

Here’s what we’ll cover in our Guide to Build Healthy Habits in 2022:

  • Why do we suck at building healthy habits?
  • The first step of building healthy habits (Know your “Big Why”)
  • How to build healthy habits (The three parts)
  • The key to sustainable healthy habits (Use systems)
  • 5 hacks for effortless healthy habit building
  • The secret to fulfilling your resolution (Do less)
  • Pick your habit and GO (Next steps) Take a look to these Protetox reviews.

Let’s get right to it so you can start rocking 2022!

Why Do We Suck At Building Healthy Habits?

Human hand holding crumpled paper or trash and white paper ball and waste on the floor, A hand are crumpling a paper

“I know what I’m supposed to do, I just can’t get myself to do it!”

Welcome to the club – we all know what we need to do, but we just can’t get ourselves to make the important changes.

We know how to get in shape: move more and eat less!

We know how to exercise: get your heart rate up, do some push-ups, get stronger.

We know how to eat healthy: more vegetables and less sugar.

And yet, we can’t get ourselves to stick with ANY of these things for longer than a few weeks.

Why?

Simple: Building new healthy habits is tough, our lizard brains crave instant gratification, we don’t fully understand how habits are built, life gets busy, and our default behavior is often as unhealthy as it is easy.

As a result, we don’t put the right systems in place in order to make changes stick.

We also rely wayyyyy too much on willpower and motivation.

We tend to bite off more than we can chew, go too fast too soon, and then get overwhelmed too quickly.

This reaction is priceless.

Does this sound familiar?

  • I’m going to eat 100% Paleo/Keto AND
  • I’m going to run 5 miles a day AND
  • I’m going to work out in a gym five times a week.

If you’re somebody that eats a typically poor diet, never runs, and hasn’t set foot in a gym since grade-school dodgeball with Mr. Wazowski, changing alllll of these at once is almost a surefire way to succeed at precisely NONE of them.

We’re conditioned these days to expect and receive instant gratification. If we want food we can get it from a drive-through, stick a frozen meal in a microwave, or sit down at a restaurant that’s open 24 hours. If we want a game we can download it to our computers/phones/PS5s within a matter of seconds. If we want to watch a TV show, it’s a few clicks away.

Hell, Netflix even starts the next episode for you without any action required!

George binging some TV

We expect getting in shape to go the same way.

And this is why we suck at building healthy habits that stick.

We tell ourselves “Hey, I’ve been dedicated for a whole two weeks, why don’t I look like Ryan Reynolds yet?”, not remembering that it took us decades of unhealthy living to get where we are, which means it’s going to take more than a few weeks to reverse the trend.

And then we miss a workout because life was busy or our kid got sick. And we get disheartened that exercise or giving up candy is not nearly as fun as Netflix and video games and Peanut M&M’s.

This is where everybody gives up:

  • They try to change too many habits too soon
  • They get impatient the results don’t come more quickly
  • They slip up when life gets busy

Wrestling Mayhem Show 600: 600 Tuesdays

Things are getting a little mayhemmy for our year-end Christmas episode.  We’ve even got our favorite imaginary friend in studio as we’re joined by Billy Ruxpin!  But, wait – there’s more.  We’ve pulled good ol’ Dj Lunchbox off the shelf and dusted him off just for the occasion!  WMS 600

  • This week we’re not only recapping the week in wrestling – we’re also recapping the year in wrestling.
  • We’ve been doing this for 600 Tuesdays?
  • Rizz is sharing some memories from his previous experiences for the STD Christmas episode.

Wrestling Mayhem Show 599: Earth 2 Daniel Bryan

Marcus Mann can’t seem to get enough of the mayhem.  He made the trek back to the studio to join Sorg, Bobby F J-Town and Mad Mike for this week’s episode.  We had a lot to chat about, including:

  • 205 Live is going to do house shows starting in January?
  • On paper 205 Live is the best indy show ever. We need to see how it is in reality.
  • Marcus Mann is educating us on the difference of a 205 Live show on TV versus live and how much better high flyers are live.
  • Someone may have just compared Enzo to Eddie Guerrero.
  • Marcus Mann is educating Sorg on Noam Dar and wrestling outside the US.
  • We’re reminiscing on that time when Rizz interviewed Pete Dunne.
  • Just because we’re not seeing people from CWC and Mae Young Classic popping up yet doesn’t mean WWE lost their numbers. Just wait.
  • Did you see DJ Z at a show – – – in a library?
  • Jim Johnston was released from the WWE. We’re sharing some thoughts.
  • Since we’ve got Marcus Mann on the sofa, we’re talking about the recent RYSE anniversary show.
  • A Power Point presentation is over on 205 Live.
  • This week’s Big Question: Which superstar had the best potential and would have been a bigger WWE star if Vince McMahon hadn’t gotten in the way?
  • The one that got away – that don’t know they got away.
  • What did YOU learn in wrestling this week?

Wrestling Mayhem Show 593: Fergal S. Pumpkin

Marshall “The Bull” Gambino made his triumphant return to the show.  He has a special treat for us with the recently reinstated High Stakes Championship belt.  Otherwise, we’ve got Chad “the Enzo” with him on the sofa, Matt Carlins, Mutilator Larry, and Sorg.  They’re bringing you this week’s wrestling news and insights, including:

  • The champion of champions is back – and Chad the Shad is starting the top of the show – as Chad the Enzo.
  • Sorg has unearthed Larry’s hatred for Kalisto.
  • Enzo brings Chad the most joy each week. The rest of us are Power Point enthusiasts thanks to Drew Gulak.
  • We’re talking some TLC changes – and there’s a difference of opinions.
  • So, Braun Strowman got murdered at TLC – and the fans are the ones that called it out?
  • Survivor Series is coming up, and Mad Mike has some speculations as to who we could see.
  • AJ Styles and Finn Balor made the TLC changes amazing!
  • Thank you William Regal for telling us about storytelling in the ring.
  • Marshall is talking about how nice it is to remember where you came from especially on a big stage like WWE.
  • Marshall is in studio – and he brought something shiny. It’s a first look at the High Stakes belt.
  • This week’s Big Question: With Smackdown Live on Halloween, what would you book as a special event match for the night?
  • Want to see Jerry “The King” Lawler LIVE this Friday at IWC Wrestling High Stakes 2? http://www.iwcwrestling.com/liveevents/highstakes2.html
  • We’re talking some #UnderSeige heading into the last segment.

Wrestling Mayhem Show 591: The Band Is Back Together

The Rev Ron Hunt FINALLY made it into the studio.  He’s joined by Chad the Shad, Mutilator Larry, and Sorg in studio.  Rizz makes his triumphant digital return to the show as well.  We’re talking all the things in wrestling, including:

  • We’re talking some Hell in a Cell at the top of the show.
  • Our in-studio guest, Ron Hunt, is talking about some of the crazy matches he’s seen/been part of.
  • When you’re in a cell (cage) it’s like being in a jail cell.
  • Hype Bros are still together because they’re too hype to be broken up.
  • Shane’s elbow-to-eye coordination is off.
  • Falls count anywhere doesn’t mean the ref goes anywhere to make that count.
  • Ron Hunt is weighing in on his thoughts about pacing in professional wrestling.
  • We’re talking some teeth knock-outs. Briscoe Bros top the list.
  • Wrestlers have to learn when and where to go all in for their spots. Can’t do it all the time without consequences.
  • The Shield reunited. But, so did Dana Brooke and Emma!
  • It’s no longer “PPV” events, they’re “special” events.
  • We’re talking some actions WWE could take to even out the 4-on-3 match.
  • It’s time for this week’s Big Question: What product would you pair for an ad campaign with the WWE?
  • We’re talking some Enzo thoughts.
  • Monday Night Football is a myth! WWE RAW

Wrestling Mayhem Show 590: Bootleg Jason Statham

We’ve got Honey Badger in studio before her Indy Mayhem Show recording – and she fits right in with this week’s crew.  Chad – donning the Enzo hair, Sorg, and Larry are in studio.  And, we’ve got Mad Mike on the line from his bunker in New York.  We’re all talking this week’s wrestling updates, including:

  • Fan of the show, Brandon Mynatt, will be a participant in the 2018 Special Olympics as part of the Team Missouri Bowling Team. (Donate at: http://give.somo.org/site/TR?px=1073149&fr_id=1190&pg=persona)
  • There’s a PPV this weekend?!?!
  • Honey Badger is giving us a tutorial on the Wall of Death.
  • We’re petitioning Alex Miller to get a WMS tattoo since he’s getting a tattoo anyway – while listening to the show.

  • Wait! Canadians are the ones trying stab people?
  • We’re discussing the McMahon family workout plan in this segment.
  • Shane McMahon is badass. He no-sold a helicopter crash.
  • Does Enzo have Virgil syndrome where he’s going to lay claim to doing things he didn’t actually do in 20 years.
  • After half the spots the WWE has done, we can only imagine Thanksgiving dinner discussions.
  • We’re dredging the bottom of WWE storylines in the chat room. It’s like walking down memory lane.
  • Back to Hell in a Cell – we’re speculating the KO v. Shane match.
  • This week’s Big Question: What classic feud would you like to see end in a HelI in a Cell match?
  • We just saw the first bump Hulk Hogan has taken in over a decade – right here in studio.
  • What did YOU learn in wrestling this week?

Wrestling Mayhem Show 589: The Champion We Deserve

We’re back to our usual stable of Sorg, Chad the Shad, Mutilator Larry, and Bobby F J-Town as we talk this week in wrestling, including:

  • Our guest tonight, The Rev, upped the call-in-sick ante to call off tonight’s show by burning stuff down.
  • Friend of the show, Brandon Mynatt, will be a participant in the 2018 Special Olympics as part of the Team Missouri Bowling Team. (Donate at: http://give.somo.org/site/TR?px=1073149&fr_id=1190&pg=persona)
  • Enzo dropped some truths, but it’s bringing some attention to 205 Live.
  • WWE wanted us to hate Dolph Ziggler so much that they took away what we loved most to make it so.
  • Bobby is a fan of sleep-deprived Neville.
  • We’re talking the importance of cutting promos and not taking things personally.
  • Cody Rhodes reciting Independence Day won the internet last night.
  • Bullet Club and Cody Rhodes stalking RAW a la DX was phenomenal, guys!

  • We’re *finally* getting around to some No Mercy 2017 discussion.
  • Man. Cesaro’s teeth is a thing after No Mercy2017. #BeastMode
  • Is WWE pulling out all the stops for PPVs? Is this why we have so many injuries lately?
  • It’s looking like a Shield reunion. Will we get Miztourage and Wyatt Family 3-way?
  • How about that Aiden English spot with Rusev tonight?
  • This week’s Big Question: What is next for John Cena?

Wrestling Mayhem Show 584: John Cena is…Lightning McQueen, Jr.

It’s been an interesting week in wrestling, and it’s getting more interesting as we’re joined by Greg Ochaba of the 501st Garrison Carida. It’s a full house in studio with our guest Greg-O, Chad the Shad, Rizz, Matt Carlins, and Sorg. We’ve go tons to talk about after this weekend in wrestling – not to mention this week in wrestling, including:WMS

  • We may have an almost unnatural love of The Savage Stash.
  • SummerSlam was this weekend, and we have some mixed thoughts.
  • WWE did their impression of an indy wrestling show at the beginning of SummerSlam.
  • Who didn’t appreciate the shark cage twist with Enzo lubing up and slipping out?
  • Thanks to Dave Podnar for pointing out smaller entrances may be saving money for WrestleMania production.
  • While many watched NXT Takeover, some of us were at IWC Caged Fury.
  • We’re talking about some new factions, including an Honor Society angle.
  • The worsk NXT Takeover is not a bad show.
  • If there are differing wrestling styles can you consider them competitors? (Lucha Underground is different than WWE.)
  • There is lots of Shimmer in the Mae Young Classic.
  • We have to mention the SummerSlam Main Event. Wow.
  • Breaking news while we’re talking about the big guys last night: 205 Live has a new face!
  • Give us Brock Lesnar v. Braun Strowman.
  • Bobby Roode on the main roster? Okay. How about that Shelton Benjamin though?
  • Fashion Police are missing out on the perfect pepperoni pizza from Slice. They’ve got that other stuff instead.
  • We’re talking some John Cena at the top of the second segment.
  • Ring of Honor has been working with WWE lately, and it shows.
  • This week’s Big Question: With all the Ring of Honor talent popping up on WWE, who will we see next?
  • Don’t mind us. We’re over here wishlisting Ring of Honor talent to WWE.
  • Yes, we’re talking Southpaw Regional Wrestling. Again.
  • Brooklyn crowd. Beach balls. The wave. It’s been an odd weekend in wrestling.
  • There’s a line between being a fan and being in ring, and when fans insert themselves, it can cause problems.
  • Want to know about OUR fan interactions with wrestlers? Tune in. Fun stories.

Wrestling Mayhem Show 581: Three Pieces of Ham

They haven’t kicked us out of the new studio space, so we’re back for the second week from our digs on Broadway Avenue.  This week Sorg, Larry, Rob and Bobby are joined by Billy Ruxpin to chat about what’s happening in wrestling:WMS

  • If you stopped watching RAW at 10:15, you were good to go.
  • RAW was in Pittsburgh last night. Yep. We were there.
  • MizTV and Jason Jordan are topping the show chatter tonight.
  • Best part of the Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan visit to Pittsburgh could have been the very Pittsburgh family aspect.
  • Larry is calling for a DNA test error angle with Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan.
  • John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura? We enjoyed it, but it was obvious Cena is heading out to do some stuff.
  • Jinder and Shinsuke. Larry is calling for a cash-in after the match.
  • We’re actually happy to see big guys beating the crap out of each other!
  • We’re actually discussing things commentators say during matches.
  • If you’re going to piss JBL off, it’s best to do it on air apparently.
  • Enzo isn’t liked because he’s Enzo 24/7?
  • We’re waiting to see Braun do a shooting star press off the top rope!
  • Sorg got to experience RAW with a child last night. It reminded him of why he got into wrestling.
  • What happened to Miz and Ambrose?
  • This week’s Big Question: Which UFC or WWE star would you like to see cross over to the other?
  • Shane-O-Mac was in a helicopter crash and is even more badass!
  • Is there too much wrestling podcasting happening these days?
